German Beers

Germany is home to more than 1,300 breweries, so it’s no wonder beer sits at the heart of its culture. For centuries, German brewing was tightly controlled, but everything changed in 1988 when those strict rules were relaxed. Suddenly, breweries could experiment, broaden their recipes and introduce new ingredients. Fast-forward to today and you’ll find an incredible variety of German beers to explore.

We stock some of the nation’s favourites — Erdinger Weissbier, Paulaner Münchner Hell and Jever Pils — along with a few lesser-known gems waiting to be discovered. Add one to your basket and give German beer a go; it’s a decision you won’t regret.
